Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of classical music and old boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos and opera, along with all dramatic performances. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense training in singing. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. While a student, and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. Following her move from Mexico to America around 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
